Logan Lawn Mowing & Garden Care offer a scheduled maintenance service for suburban and acreage properties in the local area. We service customers in the areas surrounding our depot such as Logan Village, Stockleigh, Jimboomba, Munruben, Greenbank, North Maclean, South Maclean, Park Ridge, Tamborine etc.

Our maintenance schedule is 2-3 weeks between visits in Summer and 4 weekls between visits in Winter. This frequency of visits  allows us to ensure our customers properties look fantastic all year.

Mowing frequency is key to achieving a thick & healthy lawn. Never removing more than 30% of the total grass height is a good ‘rule of thumb’. Sharp mower blades will also help reduce the total stress load on a lawn, so we sharpen ours weekly to ensure a clean cut.

Infrequent mowing will result in removing too much grass height with each cut, which stresses the lawn and leads to more problems. This unnecessary stress produces a thinner lawn that is vulnerable to weed pressure and less able to cope with heat / drought stress.

Cutting your lawn very low is usually a bad idea, unless you are mowing very regularly and have irrigation – even more so in times of heat stress, drought stress or winter dormancy. Please resist the urge to cut the grass very short hoping to reduce mowing frequency, as this can cause dormancy or even kill an already compromised lawn.

Good mowing practices in conjuction with adequate nutrients, water, aeration & weed control can produce a thick, healthy lawn that is more tollerant of tough conditions.

Watering practices can also have a huge effect on your grass- We recommend deep weekly watering to encourage a deeper root base and a healthier lawn that can cope better with all types of stress. A deeper root system allows a lawn to resist winter or stress dormancy and recover faster when favourable conditions return. Shallow watering can lead to a shallower root base and a weeker lawn that goes dormant faster and struggles to recover.

Each of our mowing crews are equipped with a zero turn ride-on mower for large properties and a push mower for smaller yards with limited access. We trim all the edges every time we mow, to ensure our properties always look great.
